Metrics

RPI assists in the process of getting things done, but the main tool for impact is the metrics that are available. Rarely does a release neatly contain itself in a single project. RPI provides the advantage of mixing and matching different projects to provide metrics that make sense to your releases.
	Your new release may be a combination of various projects throughout the organization; in other systems you can easily get the metrics for the individual project but not for the entire release. RPI address this short coming by allowing you to select the projects that contrive a release and create a new dashboard metric component based on that selection.
	Some metrics are specific to teams, individuals, or direct reports, when RPI is tracking resource metrics, again you can pick and choose the resources of interest because more often than not, the metrics that you are looking for do not fall neatly within bounds of a ridged hierarchical structure.
